No studio set up costs, or working at the kitchen table – come and create independently, alongside other passionate clay people at The Clay Chapel.
You can access studio time and all its equipment, in batches of 12 or 24 sessions to work on your creative projects by becoming a member.
When researching membership options, we found the typical model was like gym membership i.e., you pay a monthly in advance for full or part time access irrespective of how many times you went. The problem with this is model is that people often don’t use all the time they have paid for, and soon becomes poor value. We want people to pay for what they use so have come up with a new model where members buy batches of 12 or 24 three-hour sessions. The rate at which you use the sessions is up to you. It may suit you to have regular weekly sessions, or else bursts of sessions when you have more free time. Each batch of sessions are good for one year from the date of issue.
Both options include glazes and firing for pieces made in the studio and discounts on all courses and workshops.
Who is membership for?
The Clay Chapel membership is for anyone who has the skills and confidence to work independently with clay. How you gained these skills isn’t important. You could be self-taught, have studied at an institution, an evening class, or at The Clay Chapel! Membership is offered at the discretion of the studio as you will need to show that you have the required skills and understanding. Firing will always be conducted by the studio team, and a full studio induction will be given to everyone.

Time Exchange
We are committed to opening studio access to as many people as possible by introducing a Time Exchange system and, in time, a concessionary rate. If you are willing to spend some time doing back of house work or a skill swap, in exchange for studio time access sessions then get in touch! Offers will be made on an individual basis.
